This has been an amazing experience overall. I am extremely happy with how everything has been done. From the first meeting until now, I have been blown away. When I first started reading about getting a breast reduction, I was so nervous. I had so many different ideas of how the procedure would be done, the healing and recovery process and scars. Scars were my biggest concern. Dr. Sands and his staff put my mind at extreme ease at our first introduction. After surgery I thought I would be in a lot of pain, but to my surprise, it was actually a walk in the park. As far as recovery it has been such an easy process. And best of all...I have no scars!

Education

Dr. Sands is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine. After receiving his medical degree from LSU New Orleans, he advanced his training by achieving a degree in general surgery at the renowned Texas Medical Center at the University of Texas. His journey to excellence in plastic surgery included serving at renowned medical centers, including Memorial Herman Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, St. Luke’s Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and Texas Heart Hospital. He then returned to New Orleans, completing a Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine.
